TL;DR
We're marching for Prostate Cancer and would appreciate any support / donations 🙂Paul and Alan are marching every day throughout September for Prostate Cancer UK.
11,000 Steps a day Approx. 5 miles a day 30 days in September 330,000 Steps (each) for the month Approx. 150 miles (each) for the monthOne in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. That’s one dad, partner, brother, grandad or mate.
It’s a life-changing diagnosis, but it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support services for men and their families affected by the disease.

Our Side-Challenge
Black Down 8.37mile “Walk”
Now we were at the top(ish) we had to traverse along the hill to the trig point.
This part wasn’t nearly as bad and had some great views along the way.
…more Jelly Babies…
Getting to the top-top from here on was fairly uneventful but highly enjoyable and with great satisfaction, we sat down at the trig point for a snack before making our way down the other side of the hill.
How The Walk Went
This walk is 8.37 miles and has its fair share of ups and downs.
In hindsight, we should have researched this walk a little more.
It started with an uphill, that should have triggered some alarm bells, then lulled us into a false sense of security before slapping a few hundred metres of steep – and I will call it because that wasn’t walking – climbing. It was at this point we cracked open the Jelly Babies.
A couple more ups and downs and we hit a mile stretch of moderate incline up the hill to the top.
Phew!
Total steps for the day: 20k+
(ok, this isn’t a photo at the trig but it’s our team photo for the day)
